Default alternator belt questions? and more.....

Let me preface this with me and my big cat had a bit of an adventure this evening involving ice, an on-ramp, a stuck throttle, and many spins involving mud, snow, and loads of plastic flying around....

I hope my vibrations over 25MPH are a ebnt rim...will investigate this in the AM...also a good thing I planned to replace both bumper covers and the front took a good amount of damage.

ANYHOW, prior to this fiasco, I was having a two-fold issue. I believe I need an ignition coil for a misfire code still appearing....brought on by o-ring and valve covers leaks already repaired recently....I hope.

I have a squeal (belt) when first starting up for about a minute or two depending on speed. I also just noticed this am that my battery voltage was drastically low and barely allowed the car to turn over. ALso noticing on the stumble home this evening that when waiting for the reds that the voltage dropped to 12 or less at times....only to raise when accelerating.....is this the alternator belt? Big deal to replace? Autozone or Advanced part that would work?

THANKS!!!!

Could be the belt. Could be the alternator going south.

I would replace the belt first to see if it cured the problem. Any of the reputable parts vendors should carry it.
