its annoying when I go over bumps and my steering wheel jerks around, upsetting the whole balance of the car. Is there some kind of steering dampener that goes on the jags?


The bushings are still original, but 2 mechanics said theyre OK. But how can they be so sure? They car is 15 years old! Should i replace all the front end bushings? I wish there was aftermarket support for this model. But maybe new stock bushings would make a difference ?

fyi the shocks are almost brand new

 

check your upper a frames (the some times rust out ) if bad they create all types of handling problems (severe bump steer)

 

Forgive my ignorance, but what is an A-frame? I will have my mechanic check it out.

 

The A-fram is the rearend of the car where the axle is mounted. and i dont know about that having anything to do with your problems.

I would before that get the allignment checked. Espacially if you mechanich says the bushes are OK but then again if theyre never has been changed they will certanly not be so good.

And there are aftermarket bushes for the lower wishbone in the front.

What wheels do you have?? if you have a lower ET wheel you will also get this problem
