Another Seat Module Question
So I have never gotten the memory to work right, but I have new symptoms that might help diagnose by you experts. Here is where I stand
1. Put in the key the column goes to the right location
2. The mirrors go to the correct location
3. The seat does not do anything. However, when I pull the key out, the seat moves all the way back
I now have the Autel MaxAP200, and it shows no current error codes. There were some old ones, but I think those were from when I changed the seat module for the third time. Does this sound familiar? Does anyone else have the same issue?
I went through the TSB, and it is telling me
CheckPoints: 1 A chaffed or damaged harness.
2 Loose or backed out pins to modules and the corresponding harnesses connectors.
3 Poor connections to motors or potentiometers.
4 Potentiometers not functioning correctly – use a data logger to check the output of the potentiometers.
5 Potentiometer may be out of range – this may happen if a memory position is towards the maximum travel of an axis.
6 Poor connections to switch-packs.
7 Short or open circuits on harnesses.
8 Physical damage or wear of mechanical components such as slides, linkages, or gears.
I can move everything to where ever I want, so not sure this fits me. It is only the memory recall for the seat.

I have posted the TSBs many times and GUS has them on his website. (I sent them to him)
I replaced MANY seat position feedback potentiometers when these cars were in 'new-car' warranty.
I only replaced them in ONE car out of warranty. There are 5 seat position sensors. The estimate was $1900.00 'customer-pay' and most of the time DECLINED.
The sensors are $300.00 EACH. The labor was a few hours (3 hours I think) to remove the seat and replace/adjust all the potentiometers.
The Jaguar warranty time is a joke if you ever tried to do the job in the time allotted.
There is a trouble-shooting tree in the TSB 15-50.
I will bet that one of the feedback pots has gone '****-up' and needs replacement.
Most people just turn the switch on the column to OFF and go on with their lives.
good luck.

Yea as you can see in my posting I went through that tree but the outcome of the tree is up in the air. Everything is working fine but the memory of the seats. I will have to see if I can find another module and see if that makes a difference. At least I have the steering column and the mirrors and the seat moves back for exit
