I'm really getting tired of driver door unlocking issues when trying to escape my vehicle. A little birdy told me that these changeovers do happen from time to time. Anyone familiar with the process and how much something like that might run (or if it could be DIY)?

Oh yeah, the Mercedes into a jag airlocks can be a bitch sometimes. Fortunately for you the car is wired for electric locks so putting it back should be no problem.

 

Can you elaborate a little on that? haha. Forgive me I'm still new. So my car indeed was built from the factory with air locks but is also wired up to electrical locks should I have the need?

I'm trying to figure out if I'm just off-base as to what I actually have and am confused or I'm just really lucky and jaguar provided both options and wired for both.

Your Jag has electric locks. Not air locks.

M/Benz used to (and perhaps still does) have vacuum/air door locks. Mark is yankin' your chain a little, that's all :-)
