Smile Ashtray dampener

So, I am reassembling the center console after replacing all the light bulbs and adding a new working display on the clock. I notice that the ashtray door and the overhead sun glass compartment doors open quite quickly and I suspect that the dampener that slows the opening are broken. Are there any way to get new ones or at least a source for working ones?

If the astray dampers mount ears are like the cup holder dampers ears , I used sewing threads in the J - B weld 2 part adhesive on the ears to give strength

It comes in 2 set times types to maneuver your work , one being a real short 6 minutes as too short for this instance.

You can maneuver your work with a toothpick , sand your area of application first

Yellow and Black tubes for one type that you don't want

And Red and Black tubes for the other 4 - 6 hour set time and can be sanded and filed

I'll try that, thanks. I just wish there was a way to 3D print these. I suppose if we ever see a cup holder or ashtray that is damaged we should remove these before discarding them.
