Default Brake master cylinder

Hey fellas. Dose anyone know where I can get a remanufactured brake master cylinder? I have exhausted all known supply houses. The others want a fortune for one. Was that unit used on any other cars out there. Parts are getting hard to find. Or an another note, does a rebuild kit exist?

Maybe list your car details in case all the MC's are not the same?

Sure. The protagonist is a 1995 Jaguar XJ6 base model. So far it seems I will be ending up at a junk yard.

Well believe it or not but O'reilly's lists two different ones! Cheap too at $200-$150.
Are you OK with a reman. one? Do you have yours out of the car? I ask because I would for sure take it with you if you do order one. Just to make sure those listings are correct!

Here is a new and used one. New is $1000+!! I "think" the Jaguar part number is JLM12080 but check as it changes with your VIN.

I can't find any rebuild kits?

Yes, a few years ago I bought one from Oreillys for my wife '96 VDP. Still works great. I called them and they said they can no longer get them. I called Cardone A1 and was told they got out the the master cylinder reman buisness a year ago.

Well, after all that the problem was not the master cylinder, but a rusted out hardline by the left rear wheel. I guess I should replace both of them I also noticed lots of rust on the fuel line going to the filter. What a pain! I still will be looking for a master cylinder since they are unobtainable.

That's a least a cheaper and simpler repair! Can't argue with that!
I was glad when the car manufacturer's switched to plastic fuel lines too.
