Default Bushings and shocks

Good day everyone,
I have reviewed posts under this title, but didn't quite get the answer I need.
I have a '96 VDP that needs front bushings and shocks. My usual mechanic found the parts quickly, but I wasn't prepared to make that repair yet.
Now I ready to move on it and that mechanic is now AWOL, and my new mechanic can't find the parts.
Is it really that hard to find them? Where should I look? Would prefer not using the pricey original equip or I would just take it to the Jag dealership - which I really can no longer afford.
I thank you in advance for your help.
Tom

The fronts have 2 bushings , top and bottom

Sometimes a shock will have the top bushing so you will have to check

# 8 times 2 per side

and for the lower

Part # for lower bushing is item # 13

Motorcarman ( Bob ) has the best experience on the lower bushing and gave some advice before

If you look through the lower bushing with the bolt installed I could see daylight on mine along with the upper donut bushing gaps
