Are the 3.2 and 4.0 engines the same? I feel really dumb asking this question.... I was just wondering if it had anything to do with a numbers conversion such as miles and kilometers.

The 3.2 litre is the smaller version of the AJ16, so logic would dictate that it will give you more miles to the gallon. Is that what you were asking?

Kind of. I think I was headed in the direction of asking if all of the common problems associated with the 3.2.....are those similar problems also common for the 4.0?

It is just a capacity thing. I believe there may be autogearbox differences between 3.2 and 4.0 litre engines.

hi i have 95 4.ltr sport 184000 on the clock had her for 3 years serves me proud , just had to replace front springs and bushes, you are bound to get a few probs good luck to you m8 and look after her when you find her (the jag that is)
