Ross, I didn't find any relay laying around the trunk. so i believe that's how it was initially. i did not check the fuses though. which i will do tomorrow.

I charged the battery, put it back to the car and tried to start it. it doesn't start at all. here's the video :

1996 Jaguar XJR won't start. unknown reason. - YouTube

BTW - can Anyone please rename the thread to : 1996 Jaguar XJR won't start, Or should i open a new thread?

Hi Alex, Just wondered if you got your car started? Strangely I now have the same problem with mine. Turns over but not firing. I'm thinking maybe it could be the fuel pump. Any luck getting yours started?

Hey Rob, i couldnt start it as you can see on the video above.

What I'm planning to do on Sunday is the following - i will remove the hose from the fuel rail on the engine, crank the engine and see if i am getting a good pressure on fuel line. If I'm not, I'll be happy Cause fixing the fuel pump will be easier for me then looking for other problem like electrical or god forbid inside the engine.

I'll update the thread on sunday.
