I've been running a refurbished one on my XJS for 6 years now. New X300 $1600 ( highway robbery) refurb approx $300. Rock Auto Has an AC Delco reman unit with lifetime warranty for $322 plus $150 core. I've had zero problems with service from RA.

First thanks for the suggestion on RA for the steering rack. I do use them and Coventry and SNG. I wasn't sure about a rebuilt for this particular part. It appears the quality of the delco rebuild is better than the others from the description. While I am doing this are there bushings I should also be replacing, I would like to put in poly as much as possible

Not a big fan of poly anything on these cars. Poly can be harsh and squeak, the Jaguar ride is very refined and is a result of many years of engineering and the sum of all the proper parts working in unison. I stick with stock on these cars when it comes to suspension components. All IMHO
