Question CD Magazine from 94 XJS fit in 96 XJ6 VDP?

Does anyone know if a CD changer magazine from a 94 XJS will fit in my 96 XJ6 VDP?

Here's a partial answer. Might help.

Any Alpine "620" series cartridge will work in the '96 CD Player. If you can confirm that the '94 uses a "620" Alpine, you'll be OK.

There might be greater interchangibility than that. I'm not sure.

Thanks, I was aware of that but really didn't have any info about the magazine other than what year and model it came off.

I bought it anyhow and hopefully, it will work. I have high hopes :-)

Guy I bought from on Ebay said he would refund my money if it didn't fit.

Also hoping the rest of the CD deck works and is all hooked up properly once I put the magazine in.

I did hit the CD button on the factory deck and it just says NO MAG which gives me the indication that it's at least hooked up and communicating correctly.
