Default Central locking dead

I've pulled my 97 XJ6 out of storage & it will not respond to the key fob the battery in the fob is fresh, & the lights on the fob are strong when the buttons are pushed. It will lock with the key, the trunk is also key only. I tried F1 fuse on the right heel board fuse box, & it is okay. Any other fuses or relays to check, before I start looking for rodent damage or whatever.

error as I see the 2005

on the 1997 the SLCU fuse is either # 3 or 4 in the trunk

I keep a string tied to it for quick pulling

I've left the XJ6 off my signature, as I hadn't yet decided to keep it, or not. I looked at 3 & 4 in the boot, & they both seem okay, so apparently it goes deeper.

Good charge on the car battery , 12.75 volts

Use the X300 as the XJ6 has several designs over the years

There is a hard reset for the SLCM

I'm comfortable with the X300 designation, it was my daily driver for over a decade. I kind of got lost in the whole Covid, economic upheaval, thing, but it is time to get it back out there. Do you recall the procedure for the hard reset?
