Default Centre vent. 95 XJR.

Hi everyone, Does anyone have any advice on how to remove the centre vent on the fascia, please? The vehicle service manual shows a special tool, but I can't see what it is grabbing.
Once it's out, is it possible to repair the potentiometer that controls the centre vent air temperature?
Thanks.

It is clipped in, give it a good yank or prise it out.

You will need to remove the glove box to get access to the end of the cable from the middle it it, so if you cannot pull it out stick your hand up behind and give it a push to help get it moving.

Thanks for that dfieldsend, does the veneer surround come with it or does that stay in the fascia?

It is part of it, dont pull it off as it will break the captive clips and you'll have to glue it back on.
