Default changing wheel styles on X300s

I am a fortunate man to have 2 X300s, a 3.2 auto Daimler 6, and a manual XJR6
I also have 4 sets of wheels for the 2 cars.
The original chromed Turbines (16") that came on the Daimler, the correct 17" Sport wheels which came on the XJR, and 2 sets of 18" Asteroids off the later X308 XJRs.

I have been running the Daimler on a set of Asteroids for 2 years but just swapped the turbines back on. The Daimler rides beautifully on the 16" turbines, with good set of tyres at 34psi. It is such a different ride from the XJR, which is a much firmer set up.
I am going to put the Asteroids on the XJR and have a change from the 17" sport wheels, which I don't like that much.

I have a boxed new set of Asteroids I bought 2 years ago from SBWheels in UK, brand new, for spares, and may be for an XJS if I ever finally decide to get one..

Too bad the asteroids only ever came in 18's.

16's would be nice.

Why does your Daimler has the black sidewindow-trim instead of chrome and why colored mirror-covers instead of chrome?

I don't know
It is an import , from memory from Singapore originally

It has 'Jaguar' on the rubber foot pad on the driver's carpet, and my XJR has 'Daimler' on its carpet, so who knows what goes on?

A Daimler should have the following items:

Fluted grille with D
Fluted chrome with D on trunk lid
Daimler Scripts on thread sills
Inlaid in Wood on doors and dashboard
Daimler script on passengers airbag-wood
chrome doorhandles
D scripts on wheelcentercovers
chrome side stripes (6x)
4 Line design of seats (Jaguar has 5)
Daimler scripts on B pillar
Daimler Script on left side of trunk lid
Six / Double-Six script on right side of trunk lid
Daimler Script on rubber of carpet (driverside)

A Daimler can never be a XJR - only Jaguar were XJR (maybe they changed the carpet once)

I assume you have two Jaguars and they were added with Daimler-Parts.
But never the less - good ones. An I like the color of you "Daimler"
