Compatible body part x300 and x308
Unfortunately, my 17 years old daughter got into a car accident today driving a 1997 XJ6. It was pristine condition with 52,000 miles. The car sustained heavy damage to passenger fender, hood, front bumper, headlight, The steel frame that attached to bumper was breached and will require welding. Wire harness was pull off from inside the wheel fender. Parts for x300 is hard to come by now a day. However, there are plenty of x308(1998-2003) in a nearby junkyard.
Please help and confirm if these parts are compatible?
Fender is the same on both x300 and x-308
Entitre headlights are interchangeable
Is it possible that I replace x-300 hood, fenders, bumper, grill (all front body parts) with X308 hood, fenders, bumper, grill (all front body parts)?

To be clear, the headlights are not really interchangeable, although many people have converted their X300 to use X308 headlights, which are thought to be better headlights.
The X308 headlights can be installed (snapped in) on an X300, but at a minimum you'll have to cut the X300 harness, or the X308 headlight plug and build a conversion between them. The X308 and X300 headlights use different harness plugs, different headlight bulbs, and the "city light" is in the inboard location of the X308 versus outboard on the X300. And really one should change the headlight bracket that the lenses snap into because of plug clearance differences. The X308 headlight plugs just barely clear the X300 brackets.
I'll have to let others confirm if the body panels are interchangeable.
Sorry to hear about the accident and damage to such a low mileage car.
