Just replaced solenoid unit on starter . After installing on car it shows the same fault . Removed starter assembly again from engine as I should have tested this bad ground path ( spins fine though on bench ) . With the pigtail wire removed that powers through the brushes which goes through the windings to case ground , There is still a solid ground to case from that lower terminal lug to case . This while not energizing the solenoid .
In the big picture this causes the battery cables to drop to 9.5 volt , not enough voltage to properly run the ECU .
I'm I missing something or is this solenoid bad out of stock ? Double check requested .
