Have a huge problem with my new 2011 Jaguar XF. Battery warning comes up on the screen that says "Low Battery. Please switch the engine on or the entertainment system will shut down in 3 minutes" and that's while I am driving the car. It's been to the shop 3 times for the same problem. Complained to Jaguar, but instead of taking care of the problem by either buying the car back or replacing it under "Lemon Law", they offered me $2,000.00 good will money to get rid of me and stated that that's the only thing they can do. This is my 3rd Jaguar and the last. Very disappointed in the company!!

Welcome to the forum,

Was this Jaguar USA who made the offer or the dealer?
I assume you are still under warranty, they can't just tell you to go away.

theres a bulletin for that. new negative cable with battery monitor device and reflashes of software.
and inconvienance to say, but not a serious problem. many issues revolve around software and not a hard mechanical part on many new electronic laden new cars. only issue with that is we techs dont write software and we are at the mercy of engineers to rewrite the software once the issue is identifyed. its not liek you have a water pump leaking and we can see it and replace it. AND I CAN TELL YOU FROM A 15YR MASTER TECH VIEWPOINT, THESE DONT BREAK NEARLY AS MUCH AS THEY USED TO OR WE WOULD LIKE, ITS NIGHT AND DAY DIFFERANCE
