Been having a devil of a time just finding the plastic illumination plate/gear fascia/J gate cover. I see some on ebay but they're usually for the entire shift mechanism. Maybe I'm not doing the right search??


My local wrecker is selling one for $100 but I'd rather pay $30.


I have seen some XJ8 plates available for cheap. Are these interchangeable?

 

I fitted an XJ8 cover on mine, but I have a 4 litre engine with 5 speed box. I don't know whether it is the same for a 4.2 litre engine.

 

Go to Jagbreakers.net They are on Radcliffe Road, in Bolton, and have a paypal account. I got mine from them for 25 pounds sterling, which is around $37 including shipping from across the pond. Nothing like going to the source for parts. I told them they have a customer for life.......Mike.....I'll let you know further, when it arrives in the next couple of weeks.
