new Toyos (quiet and SMOOTH), new driveshaft hanger bearing (smooth), and 2nd change of auto box synthetic oil (getting smoother all the time..)

Good stuff! Car's looking great btw - I didn't think I liked your wheels particularly, until I saw a pic of the whole car.

 

I'm soooo pissed that I haven't been able to lay a finger on mine to get one on the road.

Damn work. Why can't I be independently wealthy?

When I first saw the car I thought it was a bit "old man", thought the wheels a bit blingy, and I thought I wanted an XJR (and I do).
But it has really grown on me and I like the whole package. I have had it 2 months and rectified a few age-related issues - stereo, tyres, worn driveshaft bearing, put on Andy's crank sensor bracket, replacing auto gearbox fluid with synthetic. Still to do the front suspension bushes, then she should be almost driving like new.

 

XJ looks great.

One other important feature of the view from your office you forgot to mention - the sunshine.
