I keep asking questions on this forum, and have found the info incredibly useful being new to these cars.
my next question is
I want to order a set of Lambswool rugs, as should have been fitted at new. I have found somewhere reasonable, and they claim to make them pretty close to original. Including binding the edges and fitting a carpet drivers heel pad.

Not having seen what originals look like, can anyone send any pictures to illustrate.
Are they bound on the edges, and what was the heelpad.
They also offer to sew in the Daimler logo into the heelpad, if requested. Would the originals have had this.
Any pics or info would be much appreciated. I believe the correct colour should be coffee to go with cream leather seats.

They are bound on the edges and have a carpet heel pad with the logo sewn into them. This is a LHD Jaguar mat, but the Daimler version will be the same, although with the Daimler logo.

 

Thank you so much that’s brill! They are both clearly the drivers mat, I take it these are originals , lovely condition. Below is the pattern the carpet company sent, do these look right.

Yes, that pattern looks right. I bought these about a decade ago when Jaguar was clearing out the X300 parts at good prices. I never really used them, as I didn't want to get them dirty.

 

Thanks one last question, are the bound edges leathercloth?

No, it's a fabric of some kind. I think that same as the carpet mats.
