Default Dead Lock

Whats the deal with the X300 deadlocking. It seems very sporadic. Half the time when I press the lock button twice the car will chirp and deadlock, but the rest of the time it just goes straight to courtesy lights...

Both cars are doing the same thing.

There is a mamium of 3 seconds allowed between locking and dead locking , out side of this the headlights will come on for 25 seconds.

Yeah, I know. I'm definitely doing it within the 3 seconds. Sometimes they deadlock, sometimes it skips the deadlock and turns on the headlights immediately. I cant understand it... If it was just my car, I'd think it was broken, but my dads X300 is exactly the same.

When I first noticed it I had the clock module out of mine, and I thought that was the reason, but I've since deadlocked without the clock installed, and now the clock is back in the deadlock issue is still happeneing.
