IF YOU DONT HAVE AN OBD2 PORT ON THE DRIVER SIDE, THAN I THINK YOURE VEHICLE IS A 1994.5, I BELIEVE THERE SHOULD BE A SERIAL PORT IN THE TRUNK THAT YOU CAN USE, BUT Its ONLY FOR POWERTRAIN MODULEs NOT MUCH YOU CAN DO,,, IF YOU HAVE A VCM1 THAN YOU CAN USE AN ADAPTER, OR MAKE YOUR OWN ADAPTER IF YOU HAVE THE PINOUT FOR THE SERIAL PORT IN THE TRUNK TO AN OBD2 CONNECTION.
If it's a 1995-up I think it should have and obd2 port, but I could be wrong on that

all x300s have a j1962/obd2 port

they probably pushed it out of its holder

No my XK8 has a OBD II port, my 1995 Jaguar X-300 does not and that is the problem.

I have NOT seen a North American X300 without an OBDII connector next to the gearbox tunnel.
Maybe it is a ROW car?

Hello Motorcarman, what is a ROW and I have had the center consol out to replace the safety neutral switch and never saw a OBDII connector. I always thought it would be on the lower left front dash by the door hinge post on a left hand drive vehicle.

ROW = Rest Of World (as opposed to North America)

If it's 1994 XJ and you don't have the OBD2 on the driver side under-dash.... than diagnose the engine codes from the dash either center display or cluster, when you first turn ignition on without starting the engine, it will display a number example ( 1 or 2 or 4 etc..), to erase the codes just start the engine and it will erase all engine codes and log new codes if there is any, and these new logged codes will be read at the next ignition cycle without starting the engine...
ABS and TRANS error codes on a non-obd2 XJ will be read thru the serial port in the trunk
