Driver seat won't go up and down
Hello,
Yesterday I installed a sheepskin seat cover on my driver's seat.
I raised the front and rear of the seat to allow more room underneath to attach the cover.
Now, the rear of the seat goes up and down as normal.
But the front part of the seat bottom does adjust anymore.
I can hear the motor running, but it doesn't move.
Any ideas?

Gday Todd,
I had the same problem with my car and as Motorcarman says it is likely a dislodged drive cable.
I ran my driver seat all the way forward and raised the rear of it as high as it will go and from the rear footwell with a good torch you can see workings of under the front seat.
The 'front rise/fall motor' should be on the LHS front and the drive cable comes out from the back of the motor and curves around to fit in the 'front rise/fall gearbox' on the RHS of the seat frame.
The drive cable on my car had come adrift at the rear of the motor so I just pushed it back in and all was good. When I get time I'll unbolt the seat and lay it back and have a good look at things and check on the security of the drive cable
Cheers,
Jeff.
