This is driving me a little mad so it's time to fix this. I hope someone can explain what might be going on....

I don't have a keyfob just yet so I use the keys for everything. Unlocking or locking the car takes quite a bit of torque to turn the key...sometimes it's so difficult I think the key will break.

I also notice getting out of the driver's side is just as frustrating. Sometimes using the handle unlocks the door, sometimes not...although the others do indeed unlock without fail.

Any ideas?

Hi Dan,
I would start by removing the door card and checking all the linkages. It may be that they just require cleaning and re-lubricating.

Try it, you never know, it might just work.
