Default Er on temperature display

After recent work by mechanic I am now getting an Er on the display. He had to take the under dash to get to the steering column. I thought it was the little air monitor which was disconnected but plugged it back in and same thing I did find this but no clue what it is

Part doesn't cross reference to anything, might be the steering reach limit sensor? Either way triple check your connections on the bottom of the column trim, "Er" should clear out after your first startup

Default Where does this belong?

A google search of the bosch part number got me to this thread. The above discussion helped me identify what this is. Yea!! Now all i need to know is where it should be attached. While investigating why my column would go in and out, but not up and down, i came across this sensor. It was connected to the wiring harness but was not mounted. It appears the tabs which should attach it are broken. I cannot tell exactly where it mounts. Does anyone happen to have a picture of this sensor in place?

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
