I have a wonderful 1997 Jaguar xj6. Months ago it flag me with a check engine light. I took it to jag and they told me that the EGR valve was bad. I replaced it and all seemed "pretty" good but not sure it was perfect. Then it started missing or bumping again. Took it to a shop and was told the fuel injectors were leaking down, which is common for this age car and I needed new injector.

I don't get a engine code and it runs pretty good but only misses every now and again...except when it is cold and that seems to make it worse.

Any thoughts on what this might be?

 

You are posting in the wrong forum. The year of your car indicates it is an X300 series model of XJ saloon, so if you have a straight-six engine then post in the X300 forum. If it's a V8, it's an X308.
