Question Fluid Warning Light

Hey Everybody,

I've been getting a warning coming up on the dashboard lately. It comes and goes and is never there when the car first starts. Where the mileage is usually displayed it will say FLUID and then off to the right there will be a red explanation point with a red circle around it.

At first I thought it was the washer fluid and then the coolant. Any ideas what it could be? It's driving me crazy!

The car is a 1995 Jaguar XJ6 Vanden Plas with 200,000 KM.

Thank You!

That would be your Brake Fluid warning. Check the level and if it's OK check connection on the sensor and that the float isn't stuck.

@b1mcp

Much appreciated! The brake fluid was a bit low, topped it off and there hasn't been any issues. I wish the dash would just say "brake fluid" instead of "fluid." Thanks a lot for the information, I was so lost!
