Default Fragile overhead console interior light buttons fix

While redoing my headlining and the overhead console I have managed to damage all three of the interior light buttons on the console so they now fall out. They have a single little plastic tang with a hooked edge and all three have snapped off. Anyone repaired these? I'm assuming I'll have to jb weld a little piece of wire or something to replace the tang.

Also while I'm typing I assume there's no way to replace the headliner fabric on the sunglass holder, did anyone try to do this?

Yeah, I did it twice, sunvisors split apart and you can replace the material on them, you have to pull a metal pin from the side with pliers, its hidden between fabric layers but you'll find it. It holds the top plastic clip and whole sunvisor together, when you pull it out and remove the plastic clip, start pushing a flat blade from the bottom and it will split open like a wallet. It is glued so will need a bit of force to open up.
If you don't replace the fabric, they will look completely wrong with the new headlining.
Regarding the console I had no issues with mine, I'd probably just get a replacement from eBay. Btw, if you haven't replaced the fabric on the console yet, save some extra material, you'll be doing it for the second time because its almost impossible not to make a mistake and leave a large 5mm+ gap around the main plastic bottom trim first time you're doing it, you'll know what I mean when you do it, there's a very specific way to do it(the 2nd time) and pretty much impossible to explain without actually seeing it

I've redone the console successfully, except for the sunglasses panel, just need to sort out those buttons. I used some guitar D string bent to an L right angle and JB welded the broken pins back in place with the L shape behind it on each button, will see if it holds. Thanks for the tips about the sun visors.

Not pretty but no one will see it.
