Default Fuel Gauge Issue

97 XJR. Having issues with my fuel gauge. It is pegged at full until almost empty then goes from full to empty in the span of like 50 miles. Replaced the fuel sender unit in the tank already. Could it be a grounding issue? If yes, where should I be looking? Wanted to get any opinions before I replaced the sender unit for a second time. Thanks

If you look in the stickies somewhere there is a diagram of all the grounded points. I don't know if you live in an area where there is a lot of moisture or not. If so you might look at all the grounded points and clean them with a good contact cleaner.

Y'all do realize that Jaguar addressed this fault about 20 years ago????
TSB 05.1-13 has a diagnostic fault finding guide. I uploaded it YEARS ago to the large file area.
