Hi..... I own a 1996 Jaguar XJ6, had it for about 4 years and really do love the car. I have noticed over the past few months that the fuel tank lid does not always want to open when I unlock the car doors with my remote, it will open every other time. Is this a solenoid problem? Or is it a relay? Or maybe a sticky switch? Anyone have a problem like this? Please get back to me, thank you.

 

It could be any of the above. Since, it's not a very common problem, you will have to go in and test rather than rely on "the most common" problem. Sorry.

 

It could be either try to source some used parts. This happens rarely so they shouldn't set you back alot of money.
