Default Fuse confusion 95 XJ6

Hi All,
Trying to troubleshoot an electrical problem and none of the fuses seem to be in the right position according to the electrical guide. Maybe someone goofed them all up or replaced with the wrong fuse. I'm looking at the LH heel board fuse box. How are the fuses installed? Left to right, starting on top, and going around in a loop, looking straight on? Or is it upside down- starting on the right bottom and going left?? Nothing denotes #1 and the guide does not say where #1 is. And I seem to have some not installed (an orange plastic filler) in two of the positions where the guide shows fuses installed? Thanks

All 5 fuse boxes have the same layout and numbering. With the Relay on the left, the top row left to right is 1-9, bottom row left to right is 10-18.

The numbers are on the fusebox casing but very small. See good picture in this thread.

Got it....thanks. Someone must have had trouble in the past, 10A in the 5A, 15A in the 10A, no 20A all changed to 30A. I'm going to put all the correct fuses in and see if any of them blow.

You have a 84 Alfa. That should be a piece of cake for you :-)
