h&r wheel spacers
I want to get some h&r spacers since ive read here they are the best. But how do I figure out the thickness I need? I see them in 15, 20 and 30mm. Do I just measure the distance from the wheel to the fender lip and order the spacer of that size?
i got 1.50" (38.100mm)distance from the wheel to the top center of wheel arch on all four. I found some hub centric jaguar spacers of 1.25" (32mm). not sure if this is how im supposed to take the measurement but seems logical. I think its about right and i shouldnt have to worry about the wheel rubbing against the wheel arch cause of that .25". or am I going too far with 32mm spacer? what would be the ideal distance from wheel to wheel arch? i dont think wheel should be flush with arch , am i right? its not a drift car
Hub spacers are illegal in NZ to my knowledge.
I would avoid them - you are increasing offset, loading up the wheelbearings, and altering steering geometry. They are purely cosmetic, with detrimental mechanical side-effects.
Call me old stick-in-the-mud, I wouldn't go there.

Hey is that a moon roof you have? Or just a normal sun roof with a different paint job? I like the white, you don't see them often where I live.
Some custom light caps would also be nice. I don't believe that would be an easy job to create! Have been thinking about it myself, but got to find a company that can do that. I believe some sort of molding company can do the job.
The black rims are really not my taste though, but that is personal.

yes its a moon roof i had to swap by force because the sunroof had rotten out. took it to a place that did custom work for show cars and they adapted a nissan moonroof.
what do you mean by "custom light caps"?

U mean putting them black or clear? I think black looks good on black car but I like the amber to be honest. Need to make some weather resist jaguar logos for the bmw wheels center caps. Theynare bigger than the jaguar caps so I tought of printing the jaguar ones on sticker paper and then laminating them with weatherproof. I cant think of any other way.
black/clear/pink whatever you think suites the best!
About the wheel caps, there must be 3rd party caps available with jaguar logos, just a question where to find them. ;-)
Printing out on paper and laminating it yourself looks nice for 1 week maybe, it will be filled with dirt soon. Not worth the time you spend on that I think.
* What is the width of the cap?
PS amazing scenery in the back of your photos, is that where you live? *drool*

Re: the original question, we need to know what specs the new wheels are; offset and width. There'll probably be a number like E** or ET** stamped/cast on them somewhere for the offset, and one like *J for the width.
If you can post up those numbers, it's easy enough to tell how much spacer you need in order for them to fit 'correctly'. Give us the diameter and tyre dimensions too for the complete picture...
tyres are 235/35/19 front and 245/40/19 rear. on the next change of tyres ill probably go with 245/40/19 or 245/35/19 on all four due to its higher tyre wall and confort.
i cannot see the E,ET or J anywhere looking from the outside and into the wheel. ill have to remove it to check on the rear lip or behind the spokes or hub.
