Question Harmon Kardon system specs

Have read all the threads I could find via searching on the OEM HK system, but didn't find any specs.

Anyone know what the wattage specs are for the HK amplifier and at what impedence?

Based on the configuration of the four main speaker/tweeter pods and one "subwoofer", is the amplifier a 5 channel unit, or it is a 4 channel amplifier with some trickery (such as a dual coil in the 6x9 sub)?

Thanks
Al

The HK system is 240 watts. Impedance is 4 ohm

The amp gets 4 channel low level input from head unit and provides an 8 channel output.

The subwoofer is not powered. Not sure if it has dual coils but it does receive dual channel inputs from the amp.

The only 'trickery' is that each pair of rear mid bass and rear tweeters receive a common channel output from the amp. I don't see a crossover but there is a capacitor before each tweeter which probably acts as a simple high pass filter.

Thanks, that is exactly what I was lookin for.

Do you know if there are wiring diagrams/schematics that identify (e.g. by wire color) the harness for the radio, CD changer and amplfier that would call out relevant signal and power wiring?

For example, the Factory Service Manual for my 95 Riviera has a diagram and table identifying by color the wiring for the audio system calling out +/- signal wiring (low and high level) to the speakers, etc.

If one needed to troubleshoot or piggy-back on any of the existing system wiring with new equipment, that wiring spec would be invaluable and really ease the install.

Thanks again!
Al

Sure, here you go.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was looking for! Now this says it is for 95, but is this unchanged over all three years?
