Headlight Experts
I want to improve the stock headlights in my 1995 VDP X300 to something that is a lot brighter using a bolt in replacement. I've been getting a lot of add emails from a USA company called " Headlight Experts". The claim to fit any car with just plug in adapters . Has anyone heard of them and does anyone have any info on something that will look good without all kid of wiring mods. Thanks, Larry
Many have swapped the X300 headlight assemblies for the better silvering X308s ( V8 / X300 body , 98 on )
You can visit a salvage yard to compare
The plastic bracket behind and holding the lense dishes has to come with it
Try to keep track of the assembled lense position and up and down as this very effects confidence in getting it right as they don't fair into the sheet metal curves
The brand name is on the external fwd clear glass starts with a V if you look beforehand.

don't know about US but i know over he in AU putting HID into any car that was not factory with them is against illegal.
making headlights better is not as simple as just adding brighter bulbs.
HIDs and LEDs used in housings that are not properly designed for them can result in poor light out or poor beam angles which can lead to very dangerous dazzling lights to other road users.
I would highly recommend never fitting HIDs to and reflector housing. only ever use them in projector housings, and would advise with care if upgrading to LED globes to thoroughly check actual light output, beam angle, and how the light appears to other road users once installed.
if you are after something more indepth and with more work required you can make custom brackets (modify original headlight housings) and install some nice 5.75" LED headlight units.
there is a fair bit of work involved in doing this but the result is fantastic.
