Default Headliner spray adhesive alternatives to 3M 38808?

Question for those who have replaced their own headliners - with products available in the US.

Has anyone had success with adhesives _other_ than 3M's #38808 Headliner and Fabric Adhesive? I went to buy a 2nd can to finish my headliner project, but it seems to be on backorder everywhere, possibly for up to two months. Are there any viable alternatives?
I've read bad things on other forums and sales websites about 3M Super 77 and Loctite's headliner adhesive. How about 3M Super 90?.
Or should I just be patient and have an ugly interior for a while?

Thanks,
Thos/MA

These two were equally effective for my XJS headliner (both are for high-temperature use).

Parker2 - That's funny, my local Autozone couldn't get it. I'll call around to some other ones; hopefully there's one that's closer than KC that has it.

The Permatex Heavy Duty Headliner spray adhesive has a temperature rating of 77°C/170°F, equal to that of the 3M Headliner adhesive. I have used both with great results in our hot Tennessee sun.

The popular 3M Super 77 and most other trim adhesives are only rated to 43°C/110°F to 49°C/120°F. The roof of a car can easily exceed those temperatures while sitting in the sun, and you only want to replace the headliner once.

Another significant factor is that the headliner-specific adhesives are made with fast-drying solvents that will not dissolve the polyurethane foam headliner board or discolor the headliner fabric.

At the link below you can download a brochure that gives the temp ratings of 3M spray adhesives:

3M Aerosol Adhesives Comparison

If you can find the temperature rating of the Loctite headliner adhesive, it may be another good option.

Cheers,

Don
