Default Help Identify this part?

Hi Everyone,

My shop has sent me a pic of a part that needs to be replaced but I have no idea what it is. English is not the first language at the Abu Dhabi shop and all I can really get from them is "Gear Mounting".

Any ideas??? 1995 XJR

(They also need a drive shaft flex joint which I was able to identify but may not be entirely related)

Looks to me like the Transmission Mount Bushing. If it's due for a replacement, I would look into replacing the entire transmission mount: spring, bushing, bracket, everything. Won't be too expensive and it will last you for years.

Trevor's right....replace the bushing (#13 in the illustration) and the springs, and the spring seat insulators

Engine Mounting Bracket-Rear-4.0 Litre Supercharged-Automatic - Parts For XJ Series from (V)720125 to (V)812255 (X300) | Jaguar Heritage Parts UK

Replacement springs were uprated a bit so as to make the entire affair a bit less loose and bouncy. But, if you're on a budget, it isn't essential

Agree with Doug. Not a big job, and as long as you replace the foam bushing, the rest is optional.
