Hi beams and Window problems

Default Hi beams and Window problems

I cant get my hibeams working.... they just wont come on. Ive checked bulbs, wiring and fuses...Any suggestions?

Also. My master window regulator works the driver side (front and back) and no other windows work... where do I start?

There is a separate fuse and relay fir the high beams , you can swap and put your finger on it and feel it click .



The right or left side windows run off a separate fuse and relay

The high beams are also known as "main beams" in the UK ("dipped beams" being the lows). Relay #1, RH side engine bay is the one to swap out with #2 RH side to test. My old XJ6 had that problem but it turned out the column switch didn't work anymore. Check that relay first. Likely the inop windows will likely be fixed with similar checks of those items Lady P has graciously identified for you.
