Still running daily to Jackson TN 120mi round trip 205Kmiles 96 X300 VDP. having clearcoat problems from too much sun. Recent repairs: Air-conditioner compressor and water hose to heater, needs O2 sensor. Still running daily 187K 97 XJ6L Recent Repairs: Wheel bearings all around, Shock mounts, Rear shims on short shaft/axle, upper/lower ball joints and wind shield washer pump. Spare 96 X300VDP 61K miles Recent Repairs: factory mud guards, 1 door ding removed and new drivers slide plastic slide on sun roof mechanism.
Every time I talk about selling them they just keep running and running... and running... Hey guys quit buying the Tennessee cars and taking them out of state. This is the place to preserve them!!! Besides I might need another couple...

THANKS!. I have two this color. It took a while to find a second one in good shape with this color. It's my wife's favorite. Having both 2 96
s and a 97 we have found the 96's to be a little more reliable than the 97. Not sure if other folks have found that or not but it could just be that my 97 was not taken as well a care of in it's early life.

My 1995 daily driver 4.0 Sovereign it still looks better and handles better than many new cars. It just turned 320,000 kms, has been my driver to work and weekend road trips for 13 years. Every day, year after year with no problems.

Keesh, the interior and especially the engine are so clean! The cam cover looks to be in excellent condition was it refurbished?

No, is still original. At my XJS 4.0 is the cam cover much worse and needed to be refurbished.

Default had a 1990 xj6 4.0 daily

my 1990 Sovereign was a daily driver for me but my wife would not drive it, called it ostentatious . traded it away.

10 years later I have a 94 xj Vanden Plas. she hasn't complained.

Picked up my 95’ XJ6 in February with 127,000 miles - put about 3000 miles on it - I’ve wanted this car since I bought my first car but ended up with a 96’ Lincoln town-car - followed by a 00’ BMW 740il - this car is by far the best out of the three - only thing I enjoy as much is my 95’ Jeep XJ

As of about 2 weeks ago, mine's back to being a daily driver after over a year on the sidelines

.... now on to getting the XJ12 road worthy again as well

I have a 2002 PSD I was putting way too many miles on. Bought a 1996 X300 with 98k 2 months ago and now has 10500.
I did an oil, trans and diff service.
Fixed the lights, cigar lighters and telescopic wheel.
Put some seat covers on her.
Next is the power antenna and a wind screen.
Than body work and paint.
Will be good as refurbished used...….

I've been using my 1997 X300 4.0l supercharged almost every other day for commuting since I bougt her early March.
About 100km back and forth, 80% highway and 20% country road.
Been having some mechanical problems though, so somewhat less the last two weeks.
Still trying to get rid of some problems the previous owner left unattended.

I drive my 96 XJ6 daily. I got it with 99,000 miles and it now has 142,000 three years later. I have absolutely no trouble with this car. It actually is the most trouble free car I have ever owned, drives the best of all my previous cars and clearly is the best looking of almost every car on the road (the XKE does look nicer).

On nice summer days I must admit that I leave my car at home and take out the 95 XJS for a nice drive.
