I figured it out, but I get [ERR 0x22] for all modules. "The request can not be processed due to a bad specification or missing parameters". Looks like the clone is not working.

I'd suspect an IDS software install issue. IDS only runs under XP Professional AFAIK. Is that what you have?
You should be able to start IDS and run some options without the VCM attached. Does that work? At what point do you get the error?

The IDS was provided in a form of a VmWare VM by the vendor. I think that the Os installed on the VM is Windows XP Pro SP2.Originally Posted by b1mcp

The software starts up fine, recognizes Mongoose JLR as connected, the green light on the device is blinking. I can poke around the IDS just fine.
When I try to read the DTCs, IDS claims to be trying to read them (shows progress bar, etc.) But, instead of giving me the codes it gives me the following message:
[ERR 0x22] "The request can not be processed due to a bad specification or missing parameters".
If someone could help me to get a working version of IDS 130 I'd appreciate it. Please PM me with details on how to get it.

OK, the Mongoose cable could be the problem. I believe the Mongoose can only talk to later cars (200x ? onwards). For the older cars you need a VCM (Ford/Rotunda or clone). I'm sure one of the real techs will come along and may be confirm this.

You need to ask the person who sold it to you for a different version.
I have read reports that v118.5 works, but I cannot verify this.
I have a working v134.x that works, sometimes.
The other versions were able to read my ABS code and that was it. Funny thing is that all I really bought it for was that. It did reveal a failing Wheel Sensor at the front right of the car.
I cleaned off that sensor and the light has yet to come back!
