Default I think I've seriously gone mad. Please help

So,I got my hands on a complete inside door lift, motor gears etc. Works perfectly except for the life of me, I cannot get both wheels into the track at the same time. I have spent like 7 hours on this. Is there a trick? I can find nothing online or in the service manual. I've done a few of these in my life but I just can't figure this out. Thank you in advance for any info.

Really, I haven't seen any window lift replacements around here recently. Usually it is the door latches that give trouble. Do you speak of the two wheels on the lift arms that support the window from the bottom? Maybe it is so tough because you don't have four hands?

Default Finally figured it out.

So last night I finally figured it out,you have to take out the left hand window channel pull out the rubber then you have to drop the window regulator, motor all of it. Then you have to move the glass back and forth to get the wheels in the track. The secret is have someone hold the glass, because you have to literally hold the glass up with your left hand whole moving the regulator back to it's place on the door. It's beyond annoying. There might be another way to do it,if there is please post it. I don't want anyone to have to go through this.

So you DO have to have four hands! Or a patient helper. Glad it is put back. Hopefully a one-time job. Good thing there doesn't seem to be too many window failures talked about here. Some jobs are no picnic but once done, they are DONE. Thank you for posting up the results. Now go reclaim your sanity!
