Jagtech Ohio !! 95 Is Done
Hey all I just after almost two years got around to painting my 95 Jag I purchased from Jagtechohio. ITs been an awesome car and has never let me down so it was hard to park for a couple of weeks. Now I am on to a 70 Nova SS

I used 120 grits and took the top and trunk down to the factory primer, I don't feel safe feathering in due to anything coming off or may come off will will show its self at some poing in the future.
I used three coats of 2k high build primer then a guide coat to block it all down to level the used a sealer coat........base to cover and four coats of clear. DuPont calls for roughing factory paint with 400 grit if the old paint is in good condition with a low film build so the sids and hood just got the sealer.
I do a a Vette every now and then so I am touchy about the sub surface work but I am always happy to save people a couple thousand over going to a body shop.
Jagtechohio has a XJS I would like to get my hands on one day to make it shine!!!

JagtechOhio I would sure like to take that off of your hands one day. Strickland has just taken so much from us State Employees its not been a good year. I was so proud to bring OUR car back to life after all of this time. I just could not put it down long enough to work on it!
MTZGR777 if yours is painted on like mine was there is really nothing short of sand paper to do it with. With the stripes painted on there is no way to take them off without hitting the clear. Now if they are tape stripes they make a rubber wheel that goes on the end of a drill that will take them off with no blemishes to the clear.
