Leaking cooling fluid / water
A few days ago my car started to leak cooling fluid / water. It leaks more and more for each day i drive it. As it is now i can drive circa 10 KM before the level is under minimum and the light signal starts to indicate that the level is under minimum. I can see that it drips water under the car, but i can
unfortunately not get a good look under it, and see where it came from. Is it anywhere that there is a big chance to locate the leaking, or could it be anywhere? Thanks for answers

Hi, is this the 96? (mind you not much difference).
It could be any of the hoses, or the expansion tank etc etc.
Unfortunately difficult to pinpoint over the Internet.
If you can't get under the car, can you at least grope your way along the hoses that you can see, and discover if your fingers come away wet.
There is a hose under the intake manifolds that seems to appear from time to time.
Coolant leaks are usually a visible problem.
If you can't find it, then I would take it to a garage to get it raised for a look see.
If you crack open the expansion tank cap you should at least depressurize the system enough to get you there. Set out with it full and with a cold engine.

I just discovered the leak in my newly acquired 77 XJ6C. The Expansion Tank had a pin hole from corrosion about half way up the visible side. Temporary patch is a large enough sheetmetal screw to fit snugly and JB Weld. Find that a used original is about 120 Quid, a new one over 300 and a new aluminum generic about 20 USD. Hmmm !
