My fuel door lock doesn't appear to be working. Has anyone found a locking gas cap that fits our cars? I've tried doing an online search of a few of the auto parts stores, but no luck. Found one for my '91 Saab turbo convertible, but no joy for the Jag.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it.

Over 50 views and no replies? Is a locking gas cap yet another common piece of unobtainium on these cars, like a factory radio that actually works?

After days of searching after a syphoning episode I have finally found a Locking Fuel Cap for an XJ8.This can be found at

Whilst that is now a necessity it should be noted that this is a common problem with Jag owners in the UK given the price of fuel here and coupled with the fact that Jag have neglected to include an anti-syphon device in the filler tube for the cost of a couple of pounds /dollars a secondary form of defence is a good idea.The fuel flap lock on the XJ series is easily defeated
