Hey folks I have a 97xj6l and I'm looking for a turbo to put on it one that's as close to bolt on as possible any one know where I can find one? And the Speedo has 160mph on it were these cars capable of those speeds when new? I've ran mine up to 135 mph with more pedal to go it felt smooth and stable now if I could only get there a little sooner!

 

If it's a 97 saloon, you're in the wrong forum. Your car is probably an X300 series, built from 94-97. It is totally different to the Series 1, 2, and 3 cars on this forum, engines, gearboxes, suspension, everyything, is all different, even though Jaguar in their wisdom call it an XJ. It a bit like the Toyota Corolla, the car changes, only the name stays.

This question has been asked many times. Unless you want a technical challenge and have plenty of money to spend, it's a lot cheaper to sell the N/A and buy an S/C version.
