My driver's door pull handle still works, but I have to pull it out pretty far to unlatch the door. Seems like the cable inside the door panel has loosened over time. Is that adjustable? Noticed there is no adjustment at the door handle end of it, but couldn't tell if the other end of the cable can be. The black plastic insert behind the pull handle is cracked along the edge, but still keeps the handle and bracket tight to the door panel. Is there a good source for interior parts like that? Could also use a new rear view mirror. Thanks

 

The latch pull cable is still available and there are many part numbers

The right front door cable will fit the left front door but a rear door will not fit a front that I can tell especially a LWB long rear door

In replacing the cable , stuff a rag in the access hole so the rear retaining clip doesn't fall through to the bottom

There is a trick to the fwd attach point at the handle I would have to recall

The black filler on the outside is still available and the mounting screws on the inside have a special washer with a grove on it that must be placed on a raised lip of the interior portian of the handle . The screws are toque bits

 

Thanks. Found cables for the front door on ebay for about $35. Not sure if there is some spring behind the inside latch handle that helps pull it back to the door. Didn't even think to look if the passenger door handle had one. I just replaced the front door speakers and noticed the driver latch had more slack in it than before. At least it seems like it does.

 

The rear view mirror comes in 2 dimming versions during production , mount and wiring different and can be modified

There is a shop that will rebuild them
