Lots of Vibration when driving..
hi, on my 96 xj6 I am getting a lot of vibration through my steering wheel when driving. I sometimes feel it more than other times. Doesn't really change within low speeds or high speeds just alot of vibration. I have rotated my tires, balanced them, had a alignment done, but does not feel like it going away. I am thinking a torque converter, or ujoint maybe?? Can anyone point my in the right direction? thanks.
OK, a few things come to mind, bearing in mind what you already done.
Front wheel bearing/s, should have been picked at alignment.
Universal joint.
Jurid joint, the rubber looking thing on the prop shaft.
Prop shaft centre bearing.
Engine and/or trans mounts.
Engine mis-firing.
There will be more, but that should keep you occupied for a bit. They are the most obvious I have had over the years.

OK, I'm game.
Torque convertors rarely fail, UNLESS, fluid servicing is NOT done, which seems to be getting more common as I get older.
Check the fluid level, HOT, in "P", engine running, and on as flat a ground as possible.
If it is down, top it off, and see what happens, even a tad overfull will do NO harm. If the fluid looks kinda second hand and smelly, then bite the bullet and drain it and refill with some fresh fluid. You may be too late, but for a few bucks for some fluid, and a few minutes of your time may eliminate that item from the issue, or condemn it.
My TH400 in the V12 shuddered waaaaaay back and it was full and fresh, mmmm, so another litre of fluid and all sweet. That was a split in the inlet tube, fixed the next day.
