Hi just a quick question my 1997 XJR has quite a few lights out in the dash and center consule and I don;t seem to be able to find a site that sells them in packs and different colours so I ask "does anyone have a good internet site where I can order these from"? As I live in Canada the internet shops work out well for me.. Thanks

 

I'm not aware of anyone that sells a kit for the replacement. Which specific bulbs do you need? For example, the instrument cluster has 24 orange and 8 white bulbs.

If these are standard 194s or 74s then there are many sites that have them such as mouser.com, or alliedelec.com

Centre console use 'Neo-Wedge' type twist lock backlights. Some of them are T4 size, and some of them are an odd size that you can't get. However you can make a simple modification to allow the use of T4 in all the centre console sockets.

Note that getting to these backlights to replace them is no mean feat.

The gauge cluster uses a differen kind of twist lock backlighting that I don't know much about.

I would advise replacing the all the backlights with LEDs, but that's not a simple task either...
