Default Model Year Compatibility (Seats & Wheels)

Hey Guys,

I have a chance at a decent set of wheels inexpensively. They are off a 200 series Jaguar but I am not certain about compatibility?

Jaguar chrome wheels

Also,
I need to replace one or both front seats on my wife's XJ6.
Both seats have torn leather and the drivers seat frame is cracked in a place that I cannot repair. Plus it has bad electronics. What are the options for other seats to broaden my view. Been looking at XJ8 seats. Need to know bolt patterns and wiring.

Thanks in advance!

I basically have to put the headliner back into the car and do the seats and the Jag is done and ready for its road test

S-type wheels are 5x108, you need 5x120 - so you're stuck with XJ40 / X300 / X308, or potentially Chevy / BMW E39.

I believe X308 XJ8 seats will bolt in - I looked briefly when in the same situation as you, but I managed to weld my seat frame.

Thanks,

That gets me in the ballpark about what to look around for anyway.
I am considering having the original wheels refinished now but if I stumble across a decent set of aftermarket, I know what to look for.

The drivers seat I have is beyond repair. Broken frame and plus the cushions are really torn up. Easier just to find a decent used one. If I can find an X300 seat that would be great or else I may need to buy a pair of another model like the X308 or XJ8.

Appreciate the help.

Bernie

No prob. X308 is xj8 BTW - x300 = xj6 (our cars, with the straight sixes), x308 = xj8 (the model that followed ours but looks very similar, all with v8 engines).

The confusion arises with the next xj - the x350: available as xj6 (v6) and xj8 (v8). They're very different though - wheels are no good to you and I very much doubt the seats will work either.

the wheels on my car in the signature picture below are wheels from a BMW. They actually look very nice, not so much in that picture, though. Check out my 'Garage' for other photos with the BMW wheels.
