Mounting kits for after market cd decks?
I just bought my first Jag, 96 XJ6, I love it, but it's has a stock tape deck in the console that I would like to replace with my cd-deck out of my old car but as you know the console is an odd shape and I'm having trouble finding a mounting kit for it. I might end up fabricating my own but if there was already one out there it would make life easier.

Hey,
I have an x-type and orginally faced the same dillema as you...
Then i found this site. Shipping took about a week, but the kit worked as advertised. Looks like they have a kit for your car too. They are expensive, especially due to the fact that the dollar might as well be in the toilet.... but it works, and they have all the adapters to keep everything stock. It's at least definitely worth a look especially before you try to make your own.

I came across this kit including fascia panel and harness adapter in my earlier search. Costing GBP30 plus shipping, it looks like good value.

Ok, found it
You don't need the trim piece...
Maybe you'd like one of these, too. I have 2.
They both were Jaguar to ISO. I cut one to connect to the JVC harness. The wires are labeled.
I'm letting the Jaguar go, so I no longer need these, if anyone is interested. They came from England in 2011.
