on my way for a warrant of fitness (MOT) on a beautiful Easter Saturday, I stopped to look at the new E Pace in the window, and couldn’t resist a photo. My car is (for once) freshly washed, chamoised and Quik-waxed .
Perhaps a bit harsh , aholbro !
I was born in 1968, same as the XJ6, and since about 7 I have loved the Series 1. But the X300 is a much more pragmatic option for me.
I don’t know how long I’ll be able to keep an X300 as a daily driver, but I am lucky to have a good mechanic who worked on Jaguars in the late 80s- mid 90s in UK and has all the gear/info needed to keep it on the road, so I guess I can keep going until he retires!
The new SVR F Pace looks awesome, but a bit out of my $ range when new.
Believe it or not, although I do a lot of simple and even complex DIY work... I still occasionally take the XJR in to the Jaguar dealer for some more mundane work or things I just don't want to deal with.
...and when I do, the car still gets some nice comments and people check it out, even amongst the stratospherically priced new Jags and Land Rovers surrounding it.
Elegance and style are what made the X300, and performance if one looks under the skin, a leaper ready to strike any time. Thank you for being a die-hard fanatic in reminding the motor world of the Jaguar icon of the decade or indeed the era. Talking about photoshop, would make even more contrast if the X300 in the picture is in red and has original XJR wheels and a shining leaper on the hood.
